| Checkers Extend Qualifying Offers To Seven Players

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Derek Wilkinson announced today that the team has extended qualifying offers to seven players.
The Checkers made qualifying offers to forwards Blake Bellefeuille (pictured), Dan Murphy, Daymen Rycroft and Shawn Vinz as well as defensemen Jeff Lang, Ryan Glenn and Niko Tuomi.
Each team was entitled to reserve the rights to a maximum of eight qualified players. Of the eight qualified players, no more than four could be veterans (260 regular season professional hockey games played as of the start of the upcoming 2007-08 season). Players on open qualifying offers can not be traded.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Derek Wilkinson announced today the team’s season-ending roster.
Season-ending rosters may include up to 20 players. Season-ending rosters cannot include any players who did not sign an ECHL contract in 2006-07.
The Checkers season-ending roster includes forwards Blake Bellefeuille, Brandon Cullen, Nathan Gillies, Dusty Jamieson, Dan Murphy, Daymen Rycroft, Stephen Slonina and Shawn Vinz.

Leaving Charlotte is definitely exciting for us! My car consisted of myself (April), Lindsay, Jen, and our fabulous driver Erin. The other car headed up by Michelle followed behind as we made or way down I-85 towards Atlanta for the All Pro-3 P.R.O Convention! On the way down we have an assortment of healthy snacks including bottled water, 100 calorie wheat thins and cheese nips as well as our one guilty pleasure…an entire bag of blow pops!
